Hey does anyone know how to use .srt files? I've gotten a few of them with some "stuff" i've downloaded but VLC tends to get all poopy if I try to open them. So anyone know anything about them?

.srt files are subtitle files made with SubRip.

Try playing the video with BSPlayer or Media Player Classic.
