So is it just me, or shouldn't we all be scared that Hilary is going to get elected? Any democratic president would be a bad idea at this point but Hilary? Why don't I just move to Canada?

Now don't misunderstand, this isn't a liberal bashing thread. I'm even a little liberal myself on certain subjects, but to have a democratic congress and president would be a very bad thing.

The current main reason I say this is be cause of the middle east conflicts. They're allready trying to pull out the troops and with a democratic president it'll happen that must quicker.

I have no problem with gettin our boys back home, I do have a problem with what will happen if we just pick up and leave so suddenly and at such a critical time.

I'd like to hear others opinions on the Middle East conflicts and what you think should be done.

Just a note, don't yell and scream at me or try to change what I think, cause it probably won't happen. Uless of course if you can show me a viable, and plausible, argument to persuade me.

I do now and will always believe; freedom isn't free, one must fight for it.

I dont want America to pull out because most of us in Britian have the view that we cant leave it in the fucked up state it is in and need to make a system that will help its people. If America pulls out our men will be slaughted by the newly formed terrorist cells that will be heading north o.o

We do not have the numbers to keep the whole of Iraq safe and the Iraquie government seem to be working against us.

If we just pick up and leave, cells all over will go nuts. There'll be nothing keeping them occupied or hindered. It'll give them even more leway to perform another major attack. I mean, the '72 Olympics, both World Trade Center attacks (people don't seem to remember the first one), countless assasinations, major bombings, genocide, the list keeps going on and on; and if we don't stop it, it'll just get worse and worse.

We have to make sure that these terrorist cells get extinguished, which will never happen completely but if we can minimalize them, it would be good.

The whole Middle East is filled with seperate conficts that are getting over lapped, which makes it a breeding ground for extremists who are then turned on Europe and America.

Another thing that makes it hard it the fact that they believe they're carrying out the will of god and their religion, when in reality they're focusing on one part of the Qur'an, the part about the holy wars and crusades. Of couse, this part was fairly extreme, they ignore the fact that Mohammed,in the rest of the Qur'an, teaches kindness and love, in a lot of the same ways Christianity has. Mohammed even recognized Jesus as someone of importance and believed that his god, and Jesuses god are one and the same, and he told his followrs to love not hate christians.

isnt historically accurate. He was seen as the Christians and the Jews as a trouble maker and preached hatred against them because of it. In fact if you read the last books of the Qu'ran he says about how Jesus will come back and will kill all of the Christians that have not been killed by the muslims already. In fact the book of Sura preaches that Muslims will defeat the Jews in battle; Muslims and Christians battle unbelievers together, then Muslims will defeat all the Christians in battle before Allah returns and kills all non Muslim nations.

...I would like to see everyone come home safely, but i'm not naive enough to think they will. I dont want us to just pack up and come home, because that would be probably the stupidest thing we could possibly do.

However, we should start to receed a little, you know? Stop sending more and more, and just start training those willing over there to stick up for their own country and run it themselves.

Granted, i really dont know a whole lot about this, but forcing our way in never works.

No matter what we do, some people will never change, so we should stop focusing on trying to make them see in our way, and try to let them handle it the way they want, without violence or oppression, or things that are hazardous to human development.

How is that racist? All over Africa there have been genocides and civil wars for centuries. He is merely pointing out that the same thing will happen in the middle east (which it kind of allready has).

side note: Race has nothing to do with the color of someone's skin. It is determined by the structure of the skull, and there are three baisc types, Cacazaoid, Negroid, and Monglonoid, with variations due to generations between them.

The difference in skin color is due to levels of Melanin produced by the body, and the darker skinned people are that way because of where they migrated to on the planet. More Melanin means more prtection from the sun.
